The US government is always looking for new wars and deploying troops to fight in foreign countries, all to generate profits for the arms industry, stated investigative journalist Seth Harp in an interview with Telesur. He added that in this context, politicians are willing to tell any lie to convince the American people that these unwanted wars are necessary.

There are elite soldiers and officers within the United States who are involved in drug trafficking, a fact that Harp documented in his book, “The Fort Bragg Cartel: Drug Trafficking and Murder in the Special Forces,” a title that refers to the largest US military base in the country (North Carolina).
It was a work of several years, based on interviews with family members of soldiers and former members of communities linked to that base, as well as documents he obtained.
Murders, disappearances, and other similar events are described in Harp’s book as examples of what happens when someone involved in these practices tries to expose them. The perpetrators of these crimes remain unknown to this day.

Despite the publication of this book and its sales success, “things remain the same at Fort Bragg,” says

In his book, Harp shows how the DEA (US Drug Enforcement Administration) covers up these events while blaming other countries for trafficking drugs into the United States, where 30 percent of the world’s drugs are consumed.
The Fort Bragg Cartel: Drug Trafficking and Murder in the Special Forces” can be purchased through Amazon and in some bookstores in the United States. It is currently one of the best-selling books in the country, and HBO has purchased the rights to create a television series based on it.
